In A Local Railway Station

(in my dream in early hours of June 8, 2025)

In the early hours of my dream today, Sunday, June 8, 2025, I was in a railway station waiting to board a train to a destination I didn't know. However, I was sure I had to board a train to reach this unknown place. This was a local railway station, much like the ones you find in Mumbai. It definitely didn't look like the modern metro stations you find in Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Although I visited Mumbai last year, I didn't have the opportunity to visit any metro station there, nor did I board a non-metro local train.

While I was waiting for my train to the unknown destination, many trains passed in both directions multiple times. I noticed a group of people – probably three foreigners and one Indian – chatting with each other beside the train platform. The platform was unusually not at an elevated height but was at the same level as the street next to it. One could simply walk into the station from the street if they wished. The group was only a few meters away from me, in the street. As I was looking for my train, I heard one of the foreigners say to his mates, "Guys, I just lost my wallet. Please stay wherever you are, as I need to find out where my wallet is."

After I heard that, I noticed that I had a wallet in my hand, but I was sure it was mine. I had no idea when I took the wallet from my pocket. I felt very strange at the coincidence, but it didn't really bother me, as I was certain the wallet in my hand belonged to me.

As my train was taking a long time to arrive, I thought of boarding the next available train to go to a nearby junction and then board the required train from there. I tried to locate the path of my train on my cell phone, but I couldn't figure it out. So, I caught the next train to reach the next junction. Soon, I realized that I had boarded the train without buying a ticket. I panicked a bit but got down from the train at the next junction. While I was waiting for my unknown destination train, I was thrown back into the real world as my dream ended!

  Going to School with Shah Rukh! (in a dream, a long ago) I found myself on the way to my alma mater along with Shah Rukh Khan in a half-open jeep. I was puzzled why I was with Shah Rukh Khan, the King of Bollywood. Maybe I was going to the school to attend a function there. On our way to the school, our jeep was passing by a farm well which was on the left side of the road. It was used for watering crops by farmers in the old-fashioned way, using bulls and a very big metal-sheet bucket. And to send the bucket down into the well for refilling, the poor bulls and the farmers both had to walk backwards up the slope . Buying Seeds in a Market Place

  Buying Seeds in a Market Place (in my dream in early hours of June 6, 2025) Durga and I found ourselves in a marketplace, not entirely sure where it was! Perhaps it was somewhere in the USA because we had just returned from our short trip of about a month and a half in Santa Clara, California. My son used to take us to a different place every weekend unless we declined. After all, we only had six weekends at our disposal to explore one of the vast countries of the world. During our stay, we visited Pier 39 marketplace in San Francisco, which is just about forty-five minutes to an hour from his home.
